Organisers
Who organises this?
We are a group of young people, students and homebrew LAN-goers. We have LANned together before, but because of Turku's lacking gaming scene we decided to organise a LAN event open to everyone.
Our crew includes, among others, students of culture, media and IT, experienced event and security professionals, IT professionals and of course young people interested in LAN gaming. The event on mukana toteuttamassa students of the Turku Vocational Institute.
Why we do this
Emme tienaa eventlla, vaan toteutamme sitä edistääksemme paikallista kulttuuria, osana eri opintoja sekä rakkaudesta lajia kohtaan. The event toteutetaan voittoa tavoittelemattoman Scene ry -yhdistyksen kautta. We get production help from our amazing partners - learn more about them on our partners-osiosta!
Scene ry
Overclock LAN -the event organises Scene ry - a Turku-based non-profit registered association (Y-tunnus 1710419-9).
Scene ry promotes gaming culture, e-sports and digital hobbies in the Southwest Finland region. The association runs entirely on volunteers and all event proceeds are reinvested into future events, venues, equipment and tournament prizes.
We collaborate closely with Turku Vocational Institute, Turku Game Academy, Academic Nintendo Club, Turpakellari and other local gaming communities. Our goal is to build a permanent gaming culture hub in Turku.
